Question: Is there such a thing as too much sex? I'm asking because people usually say too much of anything is bad, but I was curious if it applied for this as well.

Answer:

There is an old saying "everything in moderation..." which applies to nearly everything in life - EXCEPT for sex. Sex is actually the gauge that we can use to determine our overall sexual health and wellbeing. As we see in [this article], doctors are beginning to use the penis as the measuring stick of overall health. To be able to perform on a regular basis means that you are functional and healthy. A strong erection means a strong heart. That being said, obsessive compulsive sexual behavior can be a bad thing. If you find yourself craving sex and doing whatever it takes to get it, that is actually a disorder that would need to be treated. However I don't think that is what you were getting at with the question. Another article of interest for you would be "Erection problems less in men who have sex more often" which speaks on this topic as well.
